About Us:
Rock Island County Council on Addiction (RICCA) is a non-profit organization committed to providing support and resources to individuals struggling with addiction.
We offer a range of services aimed at prevention, treatment, and recovery, serving the Rock Island community and surrounding areas.
As we continue our mission to combat addiction, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Finance Director to oversee all financial operations at RICCA.
The Finance Director will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, implementing financial policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a meaningful impact in the fight against addiction.
Key
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of financial accounting for a non-profit organization.
Develop, write, and implement financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Supervise and train staff within the accounting division.
Prepare and maintain budgets, including agency program budgets and grant budgets.
Handle invoicing for government contracts and grants.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Oversee payroll processing and 1099 reporting.
Conduct monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
Prepare monthly financial reports for management and the Board of Directors.
Assist with annual financial audits and state financial audits.
Provide specialized reporting upon request.
Requirements:
Associate's Degree minimum, Bachelor's Degree preferred, in Accounting, Finance, or Business (emphasis on Accounting).
Five to seven years of current and verifiable accounting experience.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online or comparable accounting programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ADOBE PDF.
Ability to work independently and ensure accounting records are audit-ready.
Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to work within regulatory GAAP and audit requirements.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
